As we head into a new year we often have plans, goals, and maybe even a "word" we're going after in the new year. But have we slowed down long enough to ask God for his plans and thoughts for us this year?

Scripture tells us that God has many thoughts for us. In fact, David tells us in a Psalm we will be studying that his thoughts for us outnumber the grains of sand of the sea shore… that’s a lot of thoughts! But do we know what they are? Have we treasured them as the Psalm tells us to do and sought them out so we know where we ought to go this year?

Often we miss God’s thoughts and goals for us in a new year because we have our own thoughts and goals. But the truth is, if our biggest goal for 2026 is something we can do without God then it’s probably not from God. God wants to do something through us only he can do, but he’s waiting on our “yes.” See without him we can’t, but without us he often won’t.

God wants partnership with us, for us to lean into his will for our year. And there’s no safer, happier, or more fulfilling place to be than the will of God. See 2026 is not about what we could do, it’s about what we’re called to do. Tune into this week’s message, “His Word. Your Yes.”
