TSA: The Stronghold Administration | Weston Stutz
This Sunday we continued in our new series “Carry-On Only.” Last week we talked about the baggage we hold onto but this week we talked about the lies that hold onto us and keep us from going where God is calling us to go.
The Bible calls these lies strongholds, thoughts and beliefs that we’ve listened to for so long that they begin to feel like truth. Maybe it’s the lie that what you’re doing is insignificant, that you deserve something that’s actually hurting you, that things will always be this way, that you’re all alone, or that you need to make sure someone pays. But what if the thing keeping you from freedom isn’t your circumstances? What if it’s the lie you’ve started believing about them?
In this sermon we talk about how to recognize the lies we listen to, take our thoughts captive, and replace them with the truth of God’s Word. The enemy may have a voice, but he does not get the final word, Jesus does. When a lie gets through, we don’t have to live wounded by it, we can let the Word of God minister to the wound and tear down the stronghold.
